Lesser Simulacrum

Lesser Simulacrum
Ritual Rank 8 [Binding]
Prerequisites: Divine or Eldritch Rank 8
Potency: 40
Components: Ruby Dust [Rare, Value: 400gp], ice or snow, and a piece of the target (i.e. hair, nail clipping, etc)
Focus: A crystal prism, worn around the neck of the duplicate, etched with magic runes [Rare, Value: 500gp]
Cost: 5 Stamina Allocation
Prep Time: 1 hour
Cast Time: 1 phase
Duration: Until dismissed, dispelled, disrupted, or destroyed.
Target: One creature to duplicate
Effect: You create a crude humanoid shape from a mass of snow or ice around the piece of the target and sprinkle it with ruby dust. You then embed the prism inside the shape and begin to chant. While chanting, you must hold an image of the creature you wish to duplicate in mind.

When the chant is completed, the mass of ice and snow takes on the appearance and personality of the target creature. The duplicate looks and acts nearly identical to the target creature, with slight differences only noticeable to those familiar with the target, and only if they succeed a Spot or Intuition check [DC 30]. The duplicate has abilities similar to the target creature, as outlined below. When created, the duplicate has no equipment, but can wield equipment as the target creature. If the duplicate is reduced to 0 hitpoints, it is destroyed and returns to a mass of ice and snow.

The duplicate remains under your command until the ritual ends. You can communicate with the duplicate in any language understood by the target creature and through magical means, such as Messageor Whispering Wind, but not via Telepathic Bond.

The simulacrum cannot be healed or regain hitpoints in any way, though it can be repaired with another use of this ritual.

The simulacrum has the following stats:

  • Level & hitpoints: Level 4 with 40 hitpoints.
  • Attributes: A score of 12 in all Attributes
  • Philosophies: Philosophies equal to the target's - 2 (Min. Rank 1), to a maximum of Rank 4.
  • Powers and Abilities: Same as the target, but limited by the new Philosophy Ranks. They cannot use a power or ability with a Base Rank greater than their Philosophy Rank.
  • Skills: Same as the target, but limited to a maximum of Rank 4.
  • Combat Training: 1 in all modes of Combat Training.
  • Proficiencies: Equal to those of the target.
