"No, no, no! You put your hand up in the air, palm facing out! Then I do the same! Then ...and pay attention here ...we move our hands forward at an accelerated pace and touch them together quickly, and then ommediately return to our starting position. I am told this is supposed to create an interesting noise and develop an emotional bond!"

Description

This unusual item appears to be a petrified, skeletal hand, its joints ringed with a dull black stone. Pulled through the wrist is an aged and deteriorated black cord of leather. It yields a foul, necrotic aura to magical detection.

Lore

These necklaces were created by a Necromancer known as Kalesh who had been warped by an undead spirit for his sins against the dead. He gained the immortality of the living dead, but was cursed with the burden of an ever growing undead body. He had to regularly "relieve" himself of his excess flesh and bone to be able to move under his own power. This necklace was an attempt to control the curse, filtering it through the item as a holding device. He had hoped that the undead would grow through the necklace instead of his decaying form. Unfortunately for Khalesh, each necklace would eventually "fill" up and forever be infused with the curse, but after a point could no longer absorb more necrotic energy. Still, their properties are great, so Khalesh gave them as gifts to loyal retainers up until his disappearance 300 years ago.
