The Thievery Skill represents the ability to perform activities associated with being a thief, such as Picking Locks, Disarming Traps, Picking Pockets. cks|Locks]] and Traps (as they are their own skills). Thievery Lore includes knowledge of Thieves’ Cant, familiarity with large Thieve's guilds, their customs, and knowledge of famous thieves.
The Thievery Skill is restricted, indicating the it may only be utilized by members of a specific class, such as a Rogue, who gain access to the skill as a Class Feature.
Common Uses of the Thievery Skill
- Use Pick Lock to open locks without a key
- Use Disarm Trap ability to disable or remove traps.
- Use Pick Pocket to remove (or plant) items from a creature.
- Recognize the governing Thieve's Guild of an area and follow their customs
- Recognize and communicate using Thieves' Cant
- Recognize the work of famous Thieves.
