Snowstorm
Snowstorms reduce visibility and unprepared creatures may risk Exposure due to the cold temperatures.
- Mild Snowstorm: Light Snowstorms grant Partial Concealment to creatures more than 50ft away and increases the Difficulty of Climb checks by one (only affects areas where snow may gather, i.e. ropes climbing is usually unaffected). Additionally, it imposes a -4 penalty to Spot checks for distances beyond 50ft. A mild snowstorm leaves 1d6 inches of snow per day.
- Heavy Snowstorm: Heavy Snowstorms grant Partial Concealment to all creatures within 50ft and Superior Concealment to creatures more than 50ft away. Additionally, it imposes a -4 penalty to Spot checks within 50ft (which automatically fail if more than 50ft away) and increases the difficulty of Difficulty of Climb checks by 1. A heavy snowstorm leaves 1d6 feet of snow per day.
Heavy Snowstorms can often be accompanied by Windstorms.
