War Priest

"Do not fear, my brothers! With the might of our patron at my command, you shall not fall and you shall not falter! The day is ours to win, I have foreseen it! Will you charge with me into impossible odds? Your combined might and righteous fury will be heard around the world, and our enemies will know their folly!"
——Lornack Purefist, a War Priest

A War Priest is more than just a healer and a holy servant. The War Priest is a leader of warriors, a father to all who would stand in battle, providing them with unshakeable support and infusing them with the spirit of battle in their darkest hour, inspiring them to rise beyond their limits and win the day. Every sizeable army in the world would desire a War Priest, and a great many would-be conquerors have attempted to garner the services of such figures, but not all succeed. A War Priest will not serve in an army unless satisfactory concessions are made to the beliefs of the church, and the army’s objective aligns with the goals of the gods. Morality of the army is less of an issue as is the bigger picture, and goodly War Priests have even been known to serve under less than scrupulous commands to achieve an important objective. This is perhaps a testament to the professionalism and dedication of the War Priest. So rigid is their faith that they would even rally the forces of a villain should they see the outcome benefit the church.

The War Priest is a three-stage Talent.
