Entangling Terrain

This is Terrain that slows down a creature's movement, either by placing small obstacles on the ground (such as dense underbrush or rubble) or by physically opposing your movement (such as a moving through thick mud or wadding through water). Regardless of how the terrain affects your movement, the result is the same: you are Entangled while subject to Entangling terrain.

When moving overland through Entangling Terrain, your overland movement is reduced by half. Additionally, every hour spent traveling in such terrain forces you to make a DC 15 Resilience check or gain 1 point of Fatigue.

Examples of Entangling Terrain
  • Clutter or rubble
  • Dense underbrush
  • Thick forest and jungle
  • Thick mud or swamp
  • Wadding across a river
