——Bordaine, Priest of the Church of Light

Description

The Shield of the Faithful is made of a magically treated platinum, polished to perfection, with a blank surface. When worn by an aligned character, a symbol appears on the shield that represents their beliefs. It could be a religious symbol, someone important to them, a family crest or anything that holds great emotional significance to the character.

Lore

Crafted as another gift to the devout, the Shield of the Faithful does not require any particular moral affiliation. Rather, it feels what is in the heart of the wielder and aids them in their struggles, protecting against forces that would work opposite their goals. Because of the shield’s seeming neutrality some scholars believe that it was somehow infused with raw divine power by a source that did not have a will of its own, seeking to learn from many different owners about the nature of humanoids.
