Sword of Sharpness
"This sword is lethal beyond reckoning. In the wrong hands it could bring about the destruction of entire civilizations. That is why I keep it sheathed at my side and put my adventuring days behind me."
——Wagner Swifthand, retired hero
Description
Featuring a blood red velvet handle, with a jagged and unevenly cut ruby for the pommel, this adamantine sword is much thinner and a few inches shorter than a typical longsword, looking more like a large, edged needle than a traditional blade.
Lore
The Sword of Sharpness is rumored to have been pried from a dwarven forge as the clan that had been crafting it meticulously for decades was slaughtered. After the murder, they tempered the sword in the blood of its “fathers”. Since that heinous act, the sword has garnered a reputation for being the most brutal of weapons, preferring not to slay its foes, but rather to open up their bodies so that it may drink once more. Whether this is the will of the wielder or the blade is unknown.
