Vow of Return
Vow of Return
Magic Resistance: Yes
Prerequisites: Divine Rank 8
Disciplines: Mysticism
Potency: [2d8 + Divine Rank]
Cast Action [CT 5, REC 5]
Components: V, S
Cost: 2 Karma, 4 Resolve Allocation
Duration: Until dismissed, dispelled or disrupted (up to 1 day per Divine Rank).
Effect: Even death will not end your service to your deity. In preparation for your potential death, you place an unbreakable vow upon your soul. In the event that you Die, this prayer is discharged and you will be Resurrected at a time and location of your choosing.
- When you are Resurrected, you return with full hitpoints and all energy restored.
- Any injuries sustained by your body are removed, along with any status effects or similar maladies.
- If your possessions are intact, you will return in full gear and with all your items (if your gear or items were destroyed or in the possession of another creature, they remain as is).
- Your body does not need to be intact, but your soul must be free and reachable (i.e. not trapped such as from a Trap the Soul ritual or an Oblivion prayer).
At the time of casting, you choose the place and time of your resurrection. The timing can be specific or general, short or long reaching, or subjective: such as "ten years from now, at the center of the city of Isvanshal," or "in the segment after my death in the nearest safe location," or "when I am next needed to fight the evil necromancer Deathspeak."
