"Look at that savage, walking around with that book! What, did he murder a mage in his sleep?! Probably thinks it’s a shield or something. Hey look, he’s trying to cast a spell at us! Keep trying big guy, it’s all in the power of your mind-"
——The last words of a ruffian insulting a Ragecaster
The Ragecaster is a unique breed of warrior, skilled in savagery and sorcery, they have learned to blend the two into a chaotic maelstrom of killing power. While most Ragecasters are Sorcerers, gifted by blood to use magic, a rare few find themselves among Barbarians and Scholars at different points in their lives, and learn this unique fighting style through wizardry. Some Ragecasters are even fueled by divine energy, serving as an avatar to their god on the field of battle. There is no way to train to become a Ragecaster, it must be learned through hardship, blood and sacrifice. Given the temperment of these warriors, this is rarely a problem.
The Rage Caster is a two stage Talent.
Rage Caster I
Ragecasters find focus within the eye of their own storm, learning that the secrets of magic are still accessible to those who can see without fear or weakness. They learn how to use their Fury to cast spells while taken up by their rage, and can even infuse their attacks with their touch spells.

Features
♦ Furious Casting
While utilizing the
Barbaric Rage ability, you may spend Fury to instantaneously cast any magical power or ability which you have mastered as a Standard Action. For each Fury that you spend, it decreases the Casting Time of the power by up to 2 segments and increases the Recovery Time by 1 segment. Once you have spent enough Fury to reduce the Casting Time to Zero,
Concentration is no longer necessary and the effects of the power are realized. The Recovery for this action is equal to the original Recovery time of the magical power (adjusted by the amount of Fury spent).
♦ Magic Infusion
When you cast an Magical power with a Range of Touch, you may infuse your Melee Weapon with the energies of the power. Once the casting is complete, make a
Melee Basic Attack with the infused weapon (instead of making an attack against Touch). If you hit (or
Glance) the target, in addition to the effects of the Melee Basic Attack, the target suffers the hit effect of the power. Your Recovery Time for this attack is equal to the Recovery Time of your basic attack or the Recovery Time of your spell, whichever is greater. If you are able to attack more than one creature with your Melee Basic Attack, the magical power only effects the first target hit. If you are utilizing this ability while in a
Barbaric Rage, you must spend Fury to decrease the Casting Time (as per the Furious Casting feature).
Rage Caster II
The Ragecaster gains greater mastery over their anger and magical channeling, combining the two more efficiently. While doing so, they also learn to infuse their magic with rage, increasing the power of their attacks and spells.
