Barbarian Class Feature [Grapple]
Immediate Action
Cost: 2 Resolve Burn
Limitation: Once per rest.
Duration: 1 Round
Upkeep: Spend 2 Resolve to increase the duration by 1 Round.
Effect: You enter a Rage, attacking fiercely and with abandon. When you enter the Rage, you gain Temporary Hitpoints equal to [5 x Physical Rank], 1 Fury, and any Fear conditions are removed. Additionally, at the beginning of the round you gain 1 Fury if you made an attack during the previous round. For the duration of your Rage, you also gain the following benefits:
- +1 power bonus to Weapon Attacks
- +2 power bonus to Will Defense and you are immune to the Enraged and Berserk status effects
- +4 power bonus to Physical Saving Throws

A power bonus to damage based on the weapon you're wielding:
- Off-Hand Weapon: +2 power bonus to damage.
- Main-Hand Weapon: +4 power bonus to damage.
- Two-Handed Weapon: +6 power bonus to damage.
- +10 power bonus to defenses versus abilities with the Fear or Charm keyword.
- +10 power bonus to Bravery
- +5 power bonus to Brawn
- Reduce Pain level by 1 degree (restored to normal when no longer raging)
- Daze Resistance equal to your Mental Rank.
- You ignore Tired, Exhausted and Sleep conditions, along with the effects of Fatigue. This does not grant immunity, but merely suppresses them until the rage ends.
Since raging focuses your attention on your enemies, you lower you attention in other regards. While raging, you also suffer from the following conditions:
- You grant an Advantage to all opponents
- You cannot Concentrate.
- -10 Penalty to Tolerance.
- You are limited to utilizing Barbarian Class abilities, Physical Maneuvers, Martial Techniques from the Brute and Savage disciplines, and powers that have Barbaric Rage as a prerequisite.
- You cannot use powers with the Stance keyword (even if they are from the Brute discipline). If you already are using a stance, the stance ends.
- When your rage ends, you must make a DC 15 Resilience check or gain 1 point of Fatigue. Additionally, you lose any unspent Fury.
You may end your Rage at any time as a Free Action. Additionally, the rage automatically ends if any of the following happen:
- You become Demoralized (don't roll for demoralization, instead you automatically Berserk).
- You are affected by a Dread, Terror, or similar fear-based status effect.
- You fall Unconscious.
- You become Disabled.
