Phookas are small fae creatures with large, bat-like ears and a stout body covered in thick black or white fur with a cat-like tail. They are tricksters by nature but are not malicious or violent. They are known as adept shape changers, using their disguised forms to lure humans into their pranks. An adult human might compare their demeanor and behavior to that of an extremely energetic 5-year-old. If forced into combat, they prefer to distract and displace their opponents with magical illusions meant to confuse and misdirect. They have the ability to shape change into a more powerful form if absolutely necessary, but prefer the forms of cute animals, such as goats, cats, and rabbits. Even if they take a larger, humanoid form, they are never quite able to hide their large ears and tail. Phooka are always chaotically aligned, and stand about 3 feet tall and weigh roughly 60 lbs.
