Upkeep: Spend 1 Karma to increase the duration by 1 phase.
Effect: You purposefully suffuse yourself with specific prohibitive energies. For the duration of this spell, you exist slightly out of phase with reality. You can speak, see, and hear normally, but cannot otherwise affect the world around you. Likewise, you cannot be affected or harmed by anything while out of phase (you are not a valid target for any powers or effects originating in reality). Any spells cast on yourself in reality or while out of phase will remain upon you as you move between states. Conversely, all other spell effects (attack powers, summoning abilities, etc) cast by you will remain in the location where cast (spells cast in reality will remain there, spells cast out of phase will remain out of phase). You return to reality when the spell ends.
- While out of phase you appear in reality as a wispy, transparent version of yourself and can pass through solid objects (even Force effects) without hindrance. If you phase back into reality while within a solid object, you are safely shunted to the nearest unoccupied location. If another caster utilizes Out of Phase, you exist in separate states and cannot perceive or interact with each other in any way.
- This spell fails if you are Anchored at the time of casting. While out of phase, you cannot move into an area that is Anchored or under the effects of Antimagic. If an area comes under the effects of Anchoring or Antimagic while you are within it, you are shunted unharmed to the nearest border of the effect.
- This spell cannot be dispelled, but may be Disjoined, but only if you are within the area of the Disjuction, as this spell is not a valid target for a Targeted Disjunction.
