Dispel Keyword
Dispelling represents the ability to magically remove the effects of another magical power or ability. Typically, Dispelling is only used to removed persistent effects (i.e. anything with a duration), though some abilities can be combined with the Countercast method to dispel instantaneous effects.
When attempting to dispel a magical effect, you must make an Opposed Potency check against the effect. If you succeed the check, the targeted effect is successfully dispelled. If you fail the check, there is typically no effect.
