Duration: 1 hour per Eldritch Rank or until dismissed, dispelled or disrupted.
Range: 60 ft
Effect: You conjure the essence of a loyal spectral hound, a semi-ethereal guardian crafted from force and bound to your will. The hound is visible only to you and, being incorporeal, can share your space without interference. When not actively following your commands, it remains in your space, ever alert for danger.

The hound uses its Vigilance ability to detect nearby creatures. When it senses a creature of Tiny size or larger, it barks loudly to alert others. You can instruct it to ignore specific creatures as a free action. The hound also communicates the general location of detected creatures to you mentally, allowing you to target creatures you could not otherwise perceive. Concealment penalties still apply.

If the hound moves more than 60 feet away from you, suffers an injury, or is reduced to 0 hitpoints, its form disperses into the ether. At the beginning of its next turn, it is automatically re-summoned in your space with full hitpoints and without injury.

Properties
  • Quasi-Spectral Force Construct: Immune to all damage types except for Psychic and Annihilation damage. Immune to Death, Disease, Poisons, Toxins, Paralysis, Sleep, and Energy Damage.
  • Fearless: Immune to all Fear effects and Morale Damage.
  • Vigilance: The hound can automatically detect and perceive all creatures within 30ft, including invisible ones (but not ethereal creatures). It is considered to always be On Guard (inc.)
  • Unseen: The hound is completely invisible to visual senses.
  • Incorporeal: Immune to Non-Magical Attacks. Can move through solid objects without hindrance, cannot be Grabbed, Restrained, or similarly bodily affected (inc).
  • Animal Instincts: Animals do not suffer penalties to their Initiative Score, Awareness, or Sensory Skills due to their low intelligence. (inc)

Effect: The hound's Vigilance ability can now perceive Ethereal creatures. It may also attack Ethereal creatures without penalty.

Stacking [Rank 6, 8, 10, etc.]: This augment may be applied multiple times and is limited by your Eldritch Rank.
Effect: Increase the damage dealt by the Hound's attacks by 1d6.

Requirement: You must be utilizing the Attacking Hound augment.
Effect: The Hound gains Tracking Scent and two more ranks in the Scent skill. This gives it a total 35 Awareness, and a +17 Scent skill.
