Winged Devil (Black)

Winged Devil
Level 6 (+4)
"Do not fear, my child. You are lost, the Father could not fulfill your desires, nor will he ever. I, on the other hand, know a great deal about satisfying mortal pleasures."
——Az'Lahur, Black Winged Devil playing with it's food
The Black Winged Devil is roughly the size of a man, with large leathery bat wings as black as night and its dull, smooth skin a similar shade of black with a dark blue sheen. It has two rows of tiny black horns running along the length of its skull from its forehead to the base of the skull. From its backside sprouts a long, thin black tail ending in a poison-coated, needle-like tip. Perhaps most disturbing are its eyes, so dark that it looks as if it has no eyes in its head at all.

Prejudices:

    Characteristics

The winged devils are manipulators, and as such will attempt to coerce potential innocents into a position of disadvantage, either magically or otherwise, to get them alone before they have their way with them. Should their attempts at subterfuge fail, however, they are quick to enrage and attack viciously until their target is dead. It is perhaps this duality that makes them feared and respected by other devils, as they are hard to predict and ultimately ruthless, greedy creatures that will use any means necessary to get what they want.

    History

Ironically, the Black Winged Devil is most known by mortals to be seen in places of worship. While it is dangerous for them to be seen in such areas, they have a hard time resisting the potential joy of corrupting and consuming an innocent, young religious practitioner. Whenever stories of demonic possession have spread throughout time, it is usually devils such as these that had a hand in the deed.

    Culture

The winged devil is on the lower end of the infernal hierarchy, despite being more lethal than more higher ranked creatures. This is probably due to their reckless pursuit of their desires, which tends to overcome their judgement in pursuit of their vile appetites.
