About 5 feet wide and 20 feet long, the Remorhaz is an extremely large insectile worm with numerous pincers that it uses to tunnel through ice and earth. It can weigh up to 20,000 lbs. Living deep within arctic environments, it is an extremely aggressive predator with a taste for flesh. Its thick hide is a blue-white, which helps it to blend in with its surroundings. However, beneath it pulses an overwhelming heat that runs along its entire body, just below the surface. Jagged spikes protruding from its back glow red hot with this internal fire, which the monster uses to cut and melt prey it finds by trampling over their bodies. In fact, even manufactured weapons can barely withstand the core temperature of the monster’s body, and often break apart when striking it. It is also large enough to swallow creatures whole, where they are subsequently burned alive by the roiling heat within. Simply travelling the snow will melt the stuff around it, causing an obscuring, thick mist to rise up and conceal the horror. Far smarter than an average monster, the Remorhaz is a cunning hunter, and can lie in wait for days in even the coldest of environments, waiting for food to wander by.

Swallow Whole [REC 6]: Make an opposed Grapple check (+23 vs Grapple) on a target, of medium size or smaller, who is Grabbed by the Remorhaz. On a success, the target is Swallowed by the Remorhaz [SE, 4d10 vs STR, no initial save]. The Swallowed creature suffers ongoing 2d10+10 Bludgeoning Damage and 10 Caustic Damage each round until it is freed. (Advanced)

Bile Spray [REC 6]: Targets all creatures in a 60ft line, +14 vs Reflex. On a hit, the target suffers 5d8+30 Caustic damage. On a miss, deal half damage. (Advanced)
Heated Trample [REC 6]: The Remorhaz moves up to its skirmish speed, Trampling all creatures within its path. Make an attack on all creatures whose space the Remorhaz moves through (+14 vs Reflex). On a hit, targets suffer 5d8+30 Fire Damage. (Advanced)

Qualities
  • Improved Grappler: The Remorhaz does not Provoke an opportunity attack from attempting a Grab. Additionally, when the Remorhaz has a target Grabbed (of medium size or smaller) it is not limited to powers with the Grapple keyword.
  • Legendary Monster: Gains a +1 racial bonus to Morale, a +5 racial bonus to all Saving Throws. Also, the Remorhaz does not lose the ability to use its "Automatic Actions" unless it is killed or rendered Unconscious.(inc)
