Stirge
Simple Monster, XP 350
Level 2 (+2)
"I don’t care how nice it is outside! We are not cooking outdoors at this time of year with those...things hovering around our hut!"
——Landrin, Peasant
This accident of nature appears to be a giant mosquito, but with the skin of a bat overlapping its frame. Brown to red in color, a typical Stirge is about a foot in length and weighs between 1 to 2 lbs. They survive by latching on to a victim with their long, pointy proboscis and draining the blood from their bodies. Consequently, this has led many adventures to revile the creatures for their seemingly sinister nature.
